Merry Go Round Farm is a private, quiet, 50-acre equestrian property in Aiken, South Carolina. Set apart from the feel of a crowded show-barn complex, the farm is designed around space, routine, and low-stress care.

The property offers hills and trails for hacking and conditioning, along with shaded, grassy pastures that give horses real turnout in real fields. Horses are turned out individually, while staying in the same group and order every day, creating a steady routine that supports calm, settled horses.

Laura supervises all the care herself, which keeps the program personal and consistent. The farm's setup has proven itself at the highest levels — Olympic, five-star, and World Equestrian Games horses have all been conditioned and trained on this property.

The farm also offers convenient access to I-20, making it practical for shipping in, hauling to shows, and overnight layovers.

Stable With Us

Merry Go Round Farm has two fully independent barns available by inquiry. Each side can operate as a self-contained setup, with its own turnout, tack room, feed room, and wash stall. The only shared space is the riding arena. The property includes a 10-stall barn with the apartment and a separate 5-stall barn with paddocks. One barn or both may be available depending on the current schedule.

This is rental stabling, not boarding. Laura VanderVliet Equestrian does not offer boarding-only arrangements.

Full care means the farm provides all care of the horse. Self care (with shavings) means the owner is responsible for all care.

Everything on-site is included. Hay and shavings are available by purchase-and-delivery arrangement.

Rent the full 10-stall barn, the 5-stall barn, both, or individual stalls — all options considered.

No minimum stay and no minimum stall count.

Layover Stabling

With easy access to I-20, Merry Go Round Farm can be a convenient stop for horses in transit. Overnight or short-stay layover stabling is handled by inquiry only. Please contact us with your travel dates, number of horses, and stabling needs.

Layover stabling uses the same per-stall rates as barn rental — full care or self care.

No advance-booking requirement beyond availability, and no fixed arrival or departure times.
